The IN400 Evolution is an integrated amp-preamp with outstanding musical capabilities, designed with both technical precision and refined aesthetics to achieve optimal sound performance. Its chassis is constructed from 2 mm steel, ensuring exceptional rigidity and stability, while the 10 mm thick front panel is crafted from brushed, micro-blasted, and anodized aluminum, finished with high-precision engraving for a sleek, modern look.
Machined from solid aluminum blocks, the side heat sinks and buttons not only enhance the amplifier’s premium appearance but also play a crucial role in absorbing mechanical vibrations and ensuring efficient heat dissipation. The result is a unit that combines robustness, elegance, and seamless integration into any interior, all while delivering uncompromising musicality.
The IN400 Evolution can receive the following optional boards:
- DAC boards: DA100 and DA200.
- PHONO boards: P50 and P100 (can be combined with DAC boards).
Atoll Electronique’s philosophy is more than using high-performance schematics: it’s a consistent approach and rational design, implementing the highest-quality components while maintaining an exceptional price-performance ratio.
We opted for metal chassis, front panels, and discrete component circuits biased to Class A for the preamplifiers and Class A/B for the amplifiers. The power transistors we use are MOS-FETs because they offer the advantage of high efficiency with remarkable audio performance.
We strive to satisfy our customers to the maximum by offering them products of the highest quality. The reward for our efforts: musicality, fluidity, richness of timbre and sound detail, an extraordinarily realistic liveliness for a faithful reproduction of your favourite music. It is essential to enhance the enthusiasm of a vast panel of customers since the creation of Atoll has unanimously validated our efforts, an enthusiasm confirmed by numerous distinctions awarded by critics in France and abroad.
All components are inserted and welded at the main factory in France (Brecey, Normandy). We take great care in the handmade assembly and test procedure, which involves four steps: checking, controlling, and checking each unit before shipment.
The guarantee is two years period from date of purchase. We recommend you to ask your dealer to fill the guarantee and to conserve it. The guarantee is only available for appliances which have been use correctly.

IN400
Pure performance, nothing else
This is a pure two-channel integrated amplifier, unapologetically focused on sound quality above all else. There is no built-in streamer, no DAC as standard, and no visual gimmickry. Instead, Atoll has invested its resources where they matter most: circuit design, power supply architecture, mechanical rigidity, and current delivery. It’s an amplifier that reminds you what exceptional design can achieve when the focus is on sonic performance and not features.

A versatile integrated amplifier built for the future
FAQ - Atoll IN400 Evolution
With its reworked amplification stage for better signal stability and its dynamic bias system making it insensitive to power variations, the IN400 Evolution represents a significant evolution compared to its predecessor, the IN400 Signature.
Its modular design, allowing for the addition of an optional digital card, makes it an upgradable amplifier capable of adapting to future uses. Whether you are a seasoned audiophile or simply seeking quality sound for your home, the Atoll IN400 Evolution will meet your expectations with its captivating musicality and versatility.
What are the main advantages of the IN400 Evolution compared to a classic integrated amplifier?
The IN400 Evolution stands out with its high-end design combining robustness, performance, and musicality. Its dual mono structure, high-quality component stages, and oversized power supply provide unparalleled transparency and dynamism. Its comprehensive connectivity and modularity make it a versatile device, capable of integrating into any Hi-Fi system.
Is this amplifier difficult to install and use daily?
Despite its performance and technicality, the IN400 Evolution remains very easy to handle thanks to its refined ergonomics. The connections are intuitive, and the remote control allows easy access to all usual functions. Additionally, many settings like balance or backlighting are customizable to suit your preferences.
What types of speakers can be paired with the IN400 Evolution?
With its generous power and deep, articulated bass, the IN400 Evolution pairs well with both floor-standing speakers and bookshelf or medium to large monitors. Its output impedance and current reserve allow it to accommodate a wide range of loads, from the easiest to the most complex.
Is the IN400 Evolution suitable for Home Theater use?
Yes, the IN400 Evolution can be perfectly integrated into a high-end Home Theater system thanks to its Bypass input, which bypasses the preamplifier. It can thus be controlled by the A/V processor and focus on amplifying the front channels. Its great dynamics and extended bandwidth are valuable assets for fully enjoying the most spectacular soundtracks.
What digital sources can be connected to it?
By adding the optional DA200 card, the IN400 Evolution opens up to the digital world with two optical inputs, two coaxial inputs, a USB input, and even a Bluetooth input. This allows you to connect most current sources such as a CD player, a streamer, a computer, a TV box, or even a smartphone. The converter integrated into the DA200 card can process PCM streams up to 24 bits / 192 kHz.
